BROCCOLI CHICKEN DIVAN

A quick and easy chicken and broccoli dish that all will love!

Broccoli Chicken Divan image

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 450 degrees F (230 degrees C).
  • Place the broccoli in a saucepan with enough water to cover. Bring to a boil, and cook 5 minutes, or until tender. Drain.
  • Place the cooked broccoli in a 9 inch pie plate. Top with the chicken. In a bowl, mix the soup and milk, and pour over the chicken. Sprinkle with Cheddar cheese. Mix the melted butter with the bread crumbs, and sprinkle over the cheese.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 15 minutes, or until bubbly and lightly brown.

Steps:

  • Unroll dough and spread out into an ungreased 9 x 13 inch baking pan, pressing over bottom and 1/2 inch up sides to form a crust.
  • Bake crust at 375 degree for 10 minutes and remove from oven.
  • Trim away stem portions of florets and discard. Cut broccoli into small pieces.
  • Distribute broccoli, cubed chicken and pimento evenly over crust.
  • In separate bowl, mix mayonnaise, mustard, soup and 1/2 cup of cheddar cheese. Spoon.
  • this mixture evenly over chicken. Sprinkle top with remaining 1 cup of cheese.
  • Bake at 375 degrees for 15 to 20 minutes. Let stand 4 minutes before cutting into squares and serving.

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  • Blend butter with cream cheese Add milk and onion. Stir in chicken. Add salt and pepper.
  • Separate dinner rolls into four rectangles, pressing perforations to seal. Spoon 1/2 cup mixture into center of each rectangle. Fold over two opposite sides to meet in the middle forming a square. Press the other two edges together to seal.
  • Brush top with melted butter and dip into bread crumbs. Place on non stick cookie sheet crumb side up.
  • Bake at 350 degrees for 20-25 minutes until browned.

  • While the chicken is still on the cutting board, dab with a paper towel then toss with 1/4 teaspoon salt, 1/4 teaspoon pepper, 1/4 teaspoon paprika. Set aside.
  • Add 1 tablespoon olive oil to a large skillet and heat over medium high heat until very hot. Add the broccoli and sauté for 30 seconds. Add 1/2 cup chicken broth, cover pan, and lower heat to medium. Steam broccoli until tender but not limp, about 2 minutes. Transfer broccoli to prepared pan in an even layer.
  • To the now empty skillet, melt one tablespoon butter (may sub olive oil) over medium heat. Increase heat to medium high and add chicken in a single layer and sear for one minute without moving chicken then continue to cook and stir chicken until cooked through. Evenly layer chicken on top of broccoli.
