CHOCOLATE "DIRT"
This chocolate "dirt" is perfect for dusting cakes and cupcakes. It's made from one simple ingredient --dark chocolate chips and super easy to prepare. I recently used this dirt to dust the Whipped Cream Frosting on my Banana Cream Pie Cupcakes. http://www.elanaspantry.com/chocolate-dirt/

Steps:
- Place the chocolate sandwich cookies into a resealable plastic zipper bag, and crush with a rolling pin into crumbs. For a more mudlike appearance, untwist the cookies and scrape off the creme filling before crushing cookies.
- Whisk together the chocolate pudding mix with the milk in a bowl, stirring for 2 minutes. Sprinkle about 1/3 of the crushed sandwich cookie crumbs into the bottom of a serving bowl, and spoon the chocolate pudding over the crumbs. Smooth out the top of the pudding, then top with the rest of the chocolate cookie crumbs to resemble dirt. Poke gummy worms halfway into the dirt. Refrigerate until serving.

BRIAN'S MILK CHOCOLATE CHIP COOKIES (AKA DIRT COOKIES)
I am not a big fan of semi-sweet chocolate chips, so I used milk chocolate chips and then decided to make the cookie base chocolaty too. My oldest son called them dirt cookies because of the brown batter. So, the name stuck. My kids love them and I hope you do too!

THE REAL NO-GUILT CHOCOLATE PUDDING
In my journey to applying the 90/10 (okay 80/20) rule to my food ethic - that is, 90 percent good for you and 10 percent ... not so much - I'm always on a quest to find dessert holy grails. If I'm going to indulge in dessert, it better be good. Medjool dates, by themselves, no matter how exponentially sweet, are not going to cut it when I want something velvety, chocolatey and rich.

- Ingredients. Nice and easy ingredient list, all you need is: - 100g (1/2C) castor sugar. - 70g (1/2C) dark chocolate* - 2 tablespoons cold water. *I used chocolate chips, you can use a block of chocolate just be sure to chop it up.
- Method. Ok, start by tipping the sugar into your pan. Carefully add the water, taking care not to splash the sides (if you do just wash the sides down with a pastry brush dipped in a little water).
- Didn't Your Mother Ever Tell You Not to Play With Your Food? Just like real dirt you can break the clumps up, be careful though, it will still be hot!
- Wanna Get Dirty? Clean up is a breeze too! Fill your pan with water, add some detergent and bring to the boil while constantly stirring. You will feel the sugar dissolve away from the pan, then just wash as normal.
