EASY SAVOURY TART
Quick and easy. You can change the bacon to sausage or omit altogether if you prefer. Not quite sure where I got this recipe from rather think it was from a Baptist Cook Book compiled by Canadians living in South Africa! Very international.

Steps:
- Mix milk and melted margarine, pour over the bread, allow to stand for 1/2 hour. Mash well, add bacon, onion, cheese, mustard, salt and pepper, mix together. Then add beaten eggs.
- Pour into greased pie dish, bake at 190 degrees for around 30 minutes.
- Serve with a green salad.

This is one of those quick, "empty your store cupboard, and it just works" recipes. Perfect for when you have unexpected guests. Great with a salad in summer, and kids eat this quite happily.

Steps:
- Heat bread, butter and milk until soggy.
- Do not overcook.
- Add other ingredients and mix.
- Place in greased pie dish and bake at 190 deg C for 30 minutes.
- Instead of tuna, use a tin of corned beef or chopped viennas (wieners).
- Leave out mushrooms if desired.

A very easy to put together tart.Ideal for a simple supper with a nice tomato Salad. Instead of spinach - try mushrooms or asparagus OR add canned tuna OR chopped cooked chicken to the basic savoury tart mixture.

- Grease a 22 cm pie dish.
- Place spinach, onion and cheese into the pie dish.
