Emeril's Easy Balsamic Dressing image

Steps:

  • 1. In a small bowl combine 1st 3 ingredients.Whisk consistently and slowly add the olive oil until well combined.Add salt and pepper to taste.
  • 2. Chill in an airtight container until ready to use.

1/4 c balsamic vinegar
2 tsp brown sugar
2 clove garlic....minced
salt and pepper to taste
1/2 c olive oil, extra virgin

Simple Balsamic Vinaigrette image

Steps:

  • Beat the vinegar in a bowl with the optional sugar, garlic, salt and pepper until sugar and salt dissolves. Then beat in the oil by droplets, whisking constantly. (Or place all the ingredients in a screw-top jar and shake to combine.) Taste and adjust the seasonings.
  • Toss a few tablespoons of the dressing with the salad mix and desired salad ingredients, top with blue cheese and serve immediately.
  • If not using dressing right away, cover and refrigerate, whisking or shaking again before use.

Steps:

  • Blend olive oil, balsamic vinegar, mayonnaise, water, garlic, Dijon mustard, and brown sugar together in a blender or in a cup using an immersion blender until smooth. Season with salt and black pepper.
