HAMBURGER PIE
Hamburger, tomato soup, green beans and mashed potatoes--sounds gross! You will be surprised, this is really good!! This is an old recipe, I remember my mom making it over 30 years ago. There is not much you have to add to make it a meal, maybe some buttered bread.

Steps:
- Cook potatoes until tender, mash with milk, butter, salt and pepper.
- While potatoes are cooking, brown ground beef and onions, drain off fat.
- Drain liquid from green beans.
- Stir tomato soup and green beans in to ground beef.
- Season to taste with salt and pepper.
- Turn beef mixture in to a 1 1/2-quart casserole dish.
- Spoon mashed potatoes over the top.
- Bake, uncovered, in a 350°F oven for 30 minutes.
- (Note: you may want to place a sheet of foil under the casserole dish, this tends to "bubble over").

Steps:
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
- Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Peel and quarter potatoes, and introduce into boiling water; cook until tender, about 15 minutes. Drain and mash. Set aside.
- In a large skillet over medium-high heat, cook ground beef and onion until beef is brown. Drain. Stir in tomato soup and green beans. Pour into a 9x13 baking dish. Mound mashed potatoes in a ring around the meat mixture (do not cover meat). Sprinkle potatoes with shredded cheese.
- Bake in preheated oven 30 minutes, until potatoes are golden.

- Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Heat 1 tablespoon oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Cook onion until translucent, about 4 minutes. Add beef, cayenne, cinnamon, and lemon juice; season with salt and pepper. Cook, stirring, until beef is browned, about 10 minutes. Add almonds and parsley; cook 3 minutes more. Let cool slightly.
- In a bowl, season eggs with salt and pepper; add milk, and whisk to combine. Fold into beef mixture.
- Lay 1 phyllo sheet on a clean work surface. Brush lightly with oil; lay another sheet on top, staggering corners. Repeat with remaining phyllo sheets and oil, rotating sheets slightly each time. Gently place dough in an 8-inch pie plate; fill with mixture. Fold edges over top. Brush with oil. Bake until golden brown and filling is set, 20 to 25 minutes. Dust top with sugar and cinnamon. Serve hot, sliced into wedges.

- Place potatoes into a large pot and cover with salted water; bring to a boil. Reduce heat to medium-low and simmer until tender, about 20 minutes; drain. Set aside to cool in a large bowl.
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease a 1 1/2-quart casserole dish.
- Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat. Cook and stir ground beef and onion in the hot skillet until the beef is crumbly, evenly browned, and no longer pink, about 10 minutes. Stir green beans and tomato soup into the ground beef mixture; transfer to prepared casserole dish.
- Mash the cooled potatoes with milk, egg, garlic, pepper, and salt; spoon in mounds over the ground beef mixture. Sprinkle Cheddar cheese over the potatoes.
- Bake in preheated oven until cheese is melted and edges of dish begin to brown, 25 to 30 minutes.

- Brown meat with onion and green pepper.
- Drain.
- Add tomato sauce, beans, and seasonings and let simmer.
- Press dinner rolls into a pie plate forming a pie crust.
- Take 1 cup cheese and mix with egg.

- Drain excess juice from meat mixture.

- Mix all of the hamburger with 1 (10.5 oz) can of cream of mushroom into an oven safe dish that is at least 5 inches deep and 12 inches wide, add minced onion and salt and pepper.
- Press mixture down in oven safe dish until all even and flat.
- Bake in the oven on 350 degrees until hamburger cooked all the way through (about 45 minutes to an hour).
- Remove from oven and drain grease off, discard grease.
- Layer on the mashed potatoes, keep in mind this is a guess to personal preference and how full you want your oven safe dish.
- Add the remaining two cans of cream of mushroom, and top that off with the shredded cheddar cheese.
- Place back in the oven for 15 minutes on 350 degrees.
- After 15 minutes passes, remove from oven let cool for 10 because the mashed potatoes and cream of mushroom will fall to the side where you remove!
