Holiday Party Mix Recipes

Steps:

• In large microwavable bowl, mix cereals, nuts, pretzels and bagel chips; set aside. In small microwavable bowl, microwave butter uncovered on High about 40 seconds or until melted. Stir in seasonings. Pour over cereal mixture; stir until evenly coated.
• Microwave uncovered on High 5 to 6 minutes, thoroughly stirring every 2 minutes. Spread on paper towels to cool. Store in airtight container.

Steps:

• In saucepan,combine butter,brown sugar,salt and karo syrup. Boil for 1 1/2 minutes. Take off heat and add baking soda. Place chex mix and peanuts in a large paper bag. Add heated mixture. Microwave for 1 1/2 minutes, 3 times.( Shake bag between each cooking time.) Pour out on wax paper to cool. Separate pieces as it is cooling, and add M&M's.

Steps:

• Line large rimmed cookie sheet with waxed paper. In large bowl, mix cereal, marshmallows and pretzels.
• In medium microwavable bowl, microwave candy coating uncovered on High 60 to 90 seconds, stirring after 1 minute, until almost melted. Stir until smooth. Pour onto cereal mixture; mix well.
• Spread on cookie sheet; sprinkle with holiday sprinkles, and cool completely, about 15 minutes. Break into bite-size pieces.
• In 2-quart resealable food-storage plastic bag, add coated cereal pieces and powdered sugar. Seal bag; shake to coat. Remove from bag; discard any remaining powdered sugar.
• In large serving bowl, mix coated cereal mixture and chocolate candies.
