Holly Berry Cookies Recipes

Steps:

• In a large bowl, combine the first 5 ingredients. Cut in butter until mixture resembles coarse crumbs. In a small bowl, beat egg and milk. Add to crumb mixture just until moistened. Cover and refrigerate for 1 hour or until dough is easy to handle. , On a lightly floured surface, roll out dough to 1/8-in. thickness. Cut with a 2-in. round cookie cutter. Place on ungreased baking sheets. Bake at 375° until edges are lightly browned, 8-10 minutes. Cool on wire racks. Spread jam on half of the cookies; top each with another cookie. , In a small bowl, combine the sugar, milk and vanilla until smooth; spread over cookies. Decorate with Red Hots before glaze is set. Let dry. Using a small new paintbrush and green food coloring, paint holly leaves on cookies.

• Add the marshmallows and melt completely - keep stirring.
• Add the green food coloring - keep stirring.
• Lower heat to Warm.
• Add corn flakes and mix until they are all green.
• Drop by teaspoons onto waxed paper to create the "holly".
• While each holly is still warm, add 3 Red-Hots as the berries (see Hint 1 at top if berries don't stick).
• Repeat until all the holly is on the waxed paper.
• Let cool and remove from waxed paper. Put on a party plate and enjoy!

• Preheat oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C).
• On a lightly floured surface roll out the dough to 1/8 inch thick. Cut with a 2 inch round cookie cutter. Place on ungreased baking sheets.
• Bake at 375 degrees F (190 degrees C) for 8 to 10 minutes or until edges are lightly browned. Cool on wire racks. Once cool spread jam on half of the cookies then top each with another cookie.
• To Make Glaze: Combine the confectioners' sugar, 2 tablespoons milk and vanilla until smooth. Spread glaze over the cookie and decorate with red cinnamon candy before the glaze is set. Let dry. Using a small new paintbrush and green food coloring, paint holly leaves on cookies.
