GLAZED MEATLOAF I

This is a succulent meatloaf glazed with a sweet and sour sauce that everyone will enjoy!

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
  • In a small bowl, combine the ketchup, brown sugar, 1 tablespoon lemon juice and mustard powder.
  • In a separate large bowl, combine the ground beef, bread, onion, egg, bouillon, remaining lemon juice and 1/3 of the ketchup mixture from the small bowl. Mix this well and place in a 5x9 inch loaf pan.
  • Bake at 350 degrees F (175 degrees C) for 1 hour, drain any excess fat, coat with remaining ketchup mixture and bake for 10 more minutes.

Mom's Meatloaf With Maple Glaze image

Steps:

  • Heat oven to 350°F.
  • Combine meatloaf ingredients in a bowl. Mix well.
  • Spray a 8 x 12-inch baking dish with cooking spray.
  • Form a 9 x 4-inch loaf in sprayed baking dish.
  • Bake at 350 degrees F. for 30 minute
  • Meanwhile combine glaze ingredients.
  • Reserve 1/2 cup of glaze for serving.
  • Drizzle 1/3 of remaining glaze over meatloaf.
  • Bake an additional 15 minutes.
  • Drizzle half of remaining glaze over meatloaf.
  • Bake an 15 minutes.
  • Drizzle remaining glaze over meatloaf and bake and bake an additional 5-10 minutes.
  • Let stand 5 minutes before slicing.
  • Drizzle remaining glaze over slices when serving.

1/2 lb breakfast sausage
1/2 lb lean ground beef
1/2 cup milk
1 (1 ounce) package onion soup mix
3/4 cup breadcrumbs
1 egg
1/4 teaspoon pepper
1/2 cup ketchup

  • In a large skillet coated with cooking spray, saute the onion, mushrooms and carrot until tender; cool slightly., In a large bowl, combine the vegetables, bread crumbs, salt and pepper.   • In a large bowl, combine the eggs, milk, cheese, saltines, carrots, onion, salt, garlic powder and pepper. Crumble beef over mixture and mix well. Shape into a loaf. Place in a greased 13x9-in. baking dish. Bake, uncovered, at 350° for 50 minutes. , For glaze, in a small saucepan, bring the brown sugar, ketchup and mustard to a boil. Reduce heat; simmer, uncovered, for 3-5 minutes or until heated through. Spoon over meat loaf. , Bake 10-15 minutes longer or until meat is no longer pink and a thermometer reads 160°.
