MONTE CRISTO ROSE BITES RECIPE BY TASTY
Puff pastry is stuffed with raspberry jam, then rolled up with tangy Gruyère cheese and ham slices to create a beautiful rose shape that will surely impress your guests. Think of it like a bite-size Monte Cristo!

- Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Roll out the puff pastry, then cut into 1½-inch-wide strips.
- Brush the raspberry jam over each strip.
- Arrange a layer of half-slices of ham on a pastry strip with the straight edges at the center of the strip and the curved edges hanging over the edge of the pastry. Fold the exposed pastry over the ham. Sprinkle some Gruyère cheese over the ham. Starting from one short end, roll the pastry into a tight spiral. Secure the end with a toothpick, if desired. Transfer to the prepared baking sheet and repeat with the remaining ingredients.
- Brush the pastry roses with the beaten egg.
- Bake for 12-15 minutes, until golden brown.
- Transfer the pastry roses to a serving platter and dust with powdered sugar.
- Enjoy.

- Heat 5 inches of oil in a deep-fryer to 365 degrees F (180 degrees C). While oil is heating, make the batter: In a medium bowl, whisk together the egg and water. Combine the flour, baking powder, salt and pepper; whisk into the egg mixture until smooth. Set aside in the refrigerator.
- Assemble sandwiches by placing one slice of turkey on one slice of bread, a slice of ham on another, then sandwich them with the Swiss cheese in the middle. Cut sandwiches into quarters, and secure with toothpicks.
- Dip each sandwich quarter in the batter so that all sides are coated. Deep fry in the hot oil until golden brown on all sides. Remove toothpicks and arrange on a serving tray. Dust with confectioners' sugar just before serving.

- Heat oven to 400°F. Lightly grease 8-inch square (2-quart) glass baking dish, or spray with cooking spray. In medium bowl, stir Bisquick® mix, milk and egg until blended.
- Spread half of the dough in bottom of baking dish. Top with half each of the cheese, ham and turkey. Spread spreadable fruit over turkey to within 1/2 inch sides of dish. Top with remaining ham, turkey and cheese. Spread remaining dough over cheese to sides of dish.
- Bake uncovered about 30 minutes or until golden brown. Let stand 5 minutes before serving. Sprinkle generously with powdered sugar. Serve warm.

- Heat oven to 350 degrees. Coat a 13 x 9 x 2 - inch glass baking dish with nonstick cooking spray. Unroll 1 package of the crescent rolls and use dough to line the bottom of the prepared baking dish. Pinch seams together with fingers. Cover rolls with half of the salami, provolone and capicola. Lightly beat together 6 of the eggs and the Parmesan; pour half evenly over top. Top with half of the roasted tomatoes. Repeat layering with remaining salami, cheese, capicola, egg mixture and tomatoes. Top with remaining package of crescent rolls. Lightly beat remaining egg and brush over top. - On a lightly floured surface, roll out the puff pastry to about a 16 by 12 inch rectangle. Top with a layer of ham slices, slightly overlapping, followed by a layer of turkey slices. Spread the shredded cheese evenly overly the meats.
- Starting on the long end of the rectangle, roll the puff pastry up into a log. Use a fork to whisk together the egg and the water in a small bowl. Brush the log with the egg wash, then slice it into 14-16 rounds. Place the rounds on a parchment paper lined baking sheet, leaving at least an inch between each one. Bake for 14-16 minutes or until cheese is melted and puff pastry is golden.
