PEAR-LIME GELATIN SALAD

A "must" at our family reunions is this easy make-ahead gelatin salad. Try decorating the top with maraschino cherries. The red and lime-green color is especially pretty for the holidays.

Pear-Lime Gelatin Salad image

Steps:

  • Drain pears, reserving juice; set pears aside. In a small saucepan, bring juice to a boil. Stir in gelatin until dissolved. Remove from the heat; cool slightly. , In a food processor, combine pears and cream cheese; cover and process until smooth. Transfer to a large bowl; stir in gelatin mixture until blended. Stir in the pineapple and 3/4 cup pecans. Fold in whipped topping. , Pour into an ungreased 11x7-in. dish. Refrigerate until set. Sprinkle with remaining pecans. Cut into squares.

Lime Pear Gelatin Salad image

Steps:

  • Whisk together the lime gelatin and boiling water in a large bowl until the gelatin dissolves. Pour the mixture into the container of a blender, and add the pear halves and cream cheese. Cover and blend until smooth. Pour back into the bowl, and gently whisk in the whipped topping. Transfer to a mold or serving bowl, cover and refrigerate until firm, at least 4 hours. To unmold, dip the mold briefly into hot tap water to loosen the gelatin, then invert onto a plate.

Pear Lime Gelatin image

Steps:

  • 1. Drain pears, (save the jusice is you don't care about the sugar). I rinse the pears to remove as much sugar as possible. Set pears aside.
  • 2. You will 1 1/2 cup liquid. I use water or you can use the pear jiuice and add water if needed
  • 3. Pour liquid into a sauce pan, bring to a boil. Add gelatin: stir until dissolved. Gradually add cream cheese, whisking until smooth. Cover and refrigerate until cool.
  • 4. Mash pears, fold into gelatin mixture. Fold in whipped topping. Pour into a 6 cup serving bowl. Refrigerate until set.

1 can(s) 29 oz. pear havles in juice
1 box 3 oz sugar free lime gelatin
1 3 oz. cream cheese, cubed and softened
1 c cool whip. i just use the smallest size
1 1/2 c water

Steps:

  • In blender, blend cream cheese with pears and juice.
  • Dissolve lime gelatin in boiling water.

  • Pour juice into a medium saucepan; bring to a boil.

Under-the-Sea Salad image

Steps:

  • Drain pears, reserving 3/4 cup of the syrup. Dice pears; set aside.
  • Stir boiling water into gelatin and salt in medium bowl at least 2 minutes until completely dissolved. Stir in reserved syrup and lemon juice. Pour 1-1/4 cups gelatin mixture into 8x4-inch loaf pan or 4-cup mold sprayed with cooking spray. Refrigerate about 1 hour or until set but not firm (should stick to finger when touched and should mound).
  • Beat remaining gelatin mixture gradually into cream cheese until smooth. Stir in pears and cinnamon. Spoon over clear gelatin in pan.
  • Refrigerate 4 hours or until firm. Unmold. Cut into 8 slices. Store leftover gelatin mold in refrigerator.

Gingered Lime Gelatin image

Steps:

  • Drain pineapple, reserving juice; set the pineapple aside. In a bowl, dissolve the gelatin in water. Stir in ginger ale, ginger and the reserved juice. Chill until syrupy, about 45 minutes. Pear Salad With Cream Cheese and Lime Gelatin image

Steps:

  • In a small saucepan, add 1 cup of pear juice and bring to a boil.
  • Remove from heat.
  • In a large bowl combine dry lime gelatin with pear juice and stir until gelatin is dissolved.
  • Chill until partially set.
  • In a medium bowl, cream the cream cheese with milk until blended and smooth.
  • In a small bowl, mash pears until smooth. Mix with the cream cheese mixture and mix until smooth.
  • Combine gelatin mixture and cream cheese mixture and blend until smooth.
  • Fold in cool whip.
  • Pour into a mold or leave in a bowl and chill 2-3 hours or until set.
