This is a wonderful appetizer for oyster lovers. Simple to prepare with readily available ingredients. Great for unexpected guests. Spread on Baguettes or dip with crackers.

There are a few recipes for smoked oyster pate or spread on this site, but none quite like this one. The inclusion of pecans makes this one delightfully nutty and sooooo good!

Steps:
- Blend smoked oysters, pecans, parsley and tabasco to suit your taste.
- Blend cream cheese and mayo in another bowl.
- Line a small bowl or terrine with plastic wrap; press the oyster mixture into the bottom of the bowl; cover with the cheese; cover with plastic wrap; refrigerate until set and flavours have blended (about 2-3 hours); unmold onto a plate; garnish with minced fresh parsley; serve with a selection of crackers.

Steps:
- Mix together the cream cheese, cilantro, lime juice, jalapeno& hot sauce.
- Cut the toast slices into interesting shapes, 6 pieces per slice.
- Spread the cheese mixture thinly on each piece.
- Drain the oysters well on a paper towel.
- Pop an oyster on each toast piece.
- Sprinkle onion lightly over top.
- Serve.

Steps:
- Preheat the broiler with oven rack 5 inches from the heat. Line a baking sheet with heavy-duty aluminum foil.
- Spread the butter evenly on both sides of the bread, and place on the prepared pan. Broil in preheated oven until deep golden brown, about 2 minutes per side.
- Spread 1 ½ tablespoons Deviled Egg Spread onto each toasted bread slice. Sprinkle evenly with chopped egg whites and diced celery. Cut each slice into 4 triangles.
- Top each triangle with smoked oysters and about ¼ teaspoon of trout roe. Garnish with chopped chives, and serve with lemon wedges and hot sauce.
- Serve with: Green salads; potato, tomato, or egg dishes; grilled vegetables
