Steps:
- Heat oven to 375 degrees F. High Altitude (3500-6500 ft): Heat oven to 375 degrees F.
- Make pie crust as directed on box for one-crust filled pie using 9-inch glass pie pan.
- Layer ham, cheese and thawed broccoli in pie crust-lined pan. In medium bowl, beat all remaining ingredients until well blended. Pour over broccoli.
- Bake 35 to 45 minutes or until knife inserted in center comes out clean.
- High Altitude: Bake at 45 to 55 minutes; during last 15 minutes of baking, cover edge of crust with strips of foil to prevent excessive browning.
- Let stand 5 minutes before serving. Cut into wedges.

- Heat olive oil in a skillet; add sausage, garlic and onions and saute until brown.
- Remove from heat and slice sausage into smaller pieces.
- Arrange meat mixture in the pie crust; add broccoli and 3/4 cup cheese to the pie crust.

I make this recipe all the time for brunch. My family absolutely loves it! It's savory and simple to make. Notes: I like to use the Cabot brand extra sharp cheddar. - Steam chopped broccoli until tender and set aside.
- Melt butter in saute pan and add onion and garlic. Add salt and pepper then set aside.

- Preheat oven to 425°.
- Place pie crust into pie plate, according to the directions on the package.
- Depending on your oven, you might find it necessary to pre-bake the crust before filling. You can find directions for "blind baking" at http://www.ochef.com/955.htm If you do that, you will probably need to adjust the baking time for the quiche and eliminate the first baking at 425°.
- In a saute pan, melt butter and saute the onion and garlic until soft. Stir in broccoli and shrimp, then pour into pie crust.
- Top with shredded cheese.
- Mix together the eggs, cream cheese, half-and-half and cayenne (if desired) and pour over cheese. I used a hand mixer for this and had to take out a couple of tablespoons of the egg mixture so it wouldn't run over the pie shell.
- Bake at 425° for 10 minutes. Reduce temp to 350° and bake for 30 minutes more.
