MISSY'S MARINATED TOMATOES

Steps:
- For the dressing: Mix the olive oil, sugar, parsley, basil, vinegar, salt, pepper, thyme, green onions and garlic in a large bowl.
- For the tomatoes: Cut the tomatoes into slices, chunks, quarters or halves, depending on the size. Add the tomatoes to the dressing and marinate for 3 to 4 hours.
- To serve: Lay out the butter lettuce leaves on a platter. Remove the tomatoes with a slotted spoon and spoon generously onto the lettuce. Drizzle over some of the dressing. Sprinkle over lots of whole basil leaves and basil stems with a few leaves on then.

My bud T-Roy gave me this recipe, and although I myself have not made it, I've been happy to eat a lot of good stuff he and his wife have made while utilizing this marinade. Lucky me, LOL.

- Place the soy sauce, olive oil, lemon juice, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, basil, parsley, and pepper in a blender. Add hot pepper sauce and garlic, if desired. Blend on high speed for 30 seconds until thoroughly mixed.
- Pour marinade over desired type of meat. Cover, and refrigerate for up to 8 hours. Cook meat as desired.

- In small bowl, combine ginger, mirin and miso, and mix until smooth. Rub on flesh side of fish pieces. Marinate 30 minutes.
- Heat broiler. Brush broiling pan with oil. Lay fish in pan, skin side down, and broil for 7 to 9 minutes, until flesh flakes and glaze bubbles and browns. Serve with steamed sticky rice and sauteed greens.

- Add lemongrass, ginger, garlic, and shallots through feed tube of a food processor with motor running. Process until very finely chopped. Add sugar, mirin, and fish sauce; process until pureed, scraping sides as needed. With motor running, slowly add oil; process until incorporated.
ROY'S DELICIOUS BBQ SAUCE/MARINADE
I love this recipe. It is the only one that I make since a lake friend brought it to the lake with chicken soaked in it. Its delicious. I do not use as much salt as the recipe calls for because the other ingredients in the recipe are already salty so I just salt to taste. I think that the recipe actually calls for too much salt but I put the amount it called for so I wasnt altering the recipe.
