Steps:
- Roll pastry to approx 12 inches (you can use a pizza pan or baking stone).
- Bake crust at 400 degrees for 10 minutes.
- Arrange apples in a single layer in a circular pattern to completely cover pastry.
- Sprinkle with cheese.
- Combine brown sugar, pecans, spices, raisins and maple syrup in a small bowl.
- Sprinkle brown sugar mixture over apples and cheese.
- Cut butter into small pieces and dot top of pizza.
- Bake for 20 minutes longer or until apples are tender.
- Cut into wedges; serve warm.

- Heat oven to 350F degrees.
- Spray a cookie sheet with nonstick spray.
- Sprinkle work surface with flour, roll out bread dough until slightly larger than the sheet.
- Place dough on sheet, stretching to fit, roll edges slightly to form a shallow rim.
- Spread apples evenly over dough.
- In a small bowl, combine sugars, 2 Tbls flour, cinnamon and nutmeg (or apple pie spice).
- Mix well and sprinkle over apples.
- Dot with the butter.
- Sprinkle with cheese evenly over.
- Bake until the apples are tender and the cheese is bubbly, 25-35 minutes.
- Serve warm.

- Put oven rack in middle position and preheat oven to 400°F.
- Roll out pastry sheet into a 15- by 12-inch rectangle on a lightly floured surface with a floured rolling pin. Transfer to a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, then prick pastry all over with a fork. Sprinkle bread crumbs over pastry.
- Heat butter in a small saucepan over moderate heat, swirling pan, until golden brown, about 1 minute. Pour butter over apples in a bowl, then add sugar and salt and toss to coat. Spread apples evenly over pastry, leaving a 1-inch border on all sides. Fold in edges over apples, pressing down firmly on corners and sides. Bake until apples are tender, 35 to 40 minutes. Sprinkle cheese over apples and bake until cheese is golden and bubbling, 5 to 9 minutes more. Serve warm.

- Preheat oven to 375°. Separate crescent roll dough into 8 triangles and place on an ungreased 12-in. round pizza pan with points toward center. Press over the bottom and up the sides to form a crust; seal perforations. Set aside., In a large nonstick skillet, cook sausage over medium heat until no longer pink, 5-7 minutes, breaking up sausage into crumbles. Drain and transfer to pizza crust. Wipe out skillet. In a bowl, beat eggs, milk, salt and pepper; pour into same skillet. Cook and stir over medium heat until almost set; spoon over sausage. , Sprinkle pizza with hash browns, cheddar cheese and Parmesan. Bake at 375° until crust is golden, 25-30 minutes.

- Make pastry dough:
- Stir together flour, salt, and cheese in a large bowl (or pulse in a food processor). Add butter and shortening and blend with your fingertips or a pastry blender (or pulse) just until mixture resembles coarse meal with some roughly pea-size butter lumps. Drizzle 6 tablespoon ice water evenly over mixture and gently stir with a fork (or pulse) until incorporated.
- Squeeze a small handful: If dough doesn't hold together, add more ice water, 1 tablespoon at a time, stirring (or pulsing) until incorporated. Do not overwork dough or pastry will be tough.
- Turn out dough onto a work surface and divide in half, then form each half into a 5-inch disk. Chill, wrapped in plastic wrap, until firm, at least 1 hour.
- Make filling and bake pie:
- Put a foil-lined large baking sheet in middle of oven and preheat oven to 450°F.
- Peel and core apples, then slice 1/4 inch thick. Toss apples with sugar, flour, lemon juice, and salt until evenly coated.
- Roll out 1 piece of dough (keep remaining disk chilled) on a lightly floured surface with a lightly floured rolling pin into a 13-inch round. Fit into a 9-inch pie plate. Roll out remaining piece of dough into an 11-inch round.
- Transfer filling to shell. Dot with butter, then cover with pastry round. Trim edges, leaving a 1/2-inch overhang. Press edges together to seal, then fold under. Lightly brush top crust with milk, then cut 5 (1-inch-long) vents.
- Bake on hot baking sheet 20 minutes. Reduce oven to 375°F and bake until crust is golden-brown and filling is bubbling, about 40 minutes more. Cool to warm or room temperature, 2 to 3 hours.

This savory fruit pizza recipe is gorgeous, unusual, and very pleasing. It is good warm, room temperature, or slightly chilled. It makes a lovely centerpiece for brunch, an appetizer, or side dish.
