Caramel Oatmeal Chewies Recipes

Steps:

• Heat oven to 350°F Grease 9x13 pan.
• Combine first 5 ingredients.
• Add margarine and mix until crumbly.Reserve 1 C of mixture for topping.
• Press remaining mixture onto bottom of prepared pan.
• Bake 10 minutes. Cool.
• Top with nuts, then chocolate chips.
• In medium saucepan, melt caramels with the water over low heat. Stir until Smooth.
• Remove from heat.
• Drizzle caramel over chocolate pcs to within 1/4" of pan edge.
• Sprinkle with reserved oat mixture.
• Continue baking 15-18 minutes. Cool.
• Chil until chocolate is set. Cut into bars.

• In a small bowl, combine flour, baking soda, cinnamon and salt.
• In a large bowl, cream together butter, granulated sugar, brown sugar, eggs and vanilla extract. Gradually beat in flour mixture. Fold in oats and caramel bits.
• Drop by rounded Tablespoons onto baking sheets lined with parchment paper. Cook for 10-12 minutes, or until golden brown.

Combine flour and oats; gradually add to creamed mixture. , Press into a 13-in. x 9-in. baking pan coated with cooking spray. Bake at 350° for 15-18 minutes or until golden brown. , Meanwhile, in a small saucepan, combine caramels and cream. Cook over low heat for 4-5 minutes or until caramels are melted, stirring occasionally. Pour over crust. Sprinkle with chocolate chunks and cashews. , Bake for 8-10 minutes or until chocolate is melted. Cool on a wire rack before cutting.

• In a medium bowl, cream together the shortening, white sugar, brown sugar and honey until light and fluffy. Stir in the milk and vanilla. Sift together the flour, baking soda and salt, stir into the creamed mixture. Then stir in the coconut, oats, dates and pecans.
