Cherry Cordial Cake Balls image

Steps:

  • In a large bowl, combine the cake mix, 1-1/4 cups coffee, oil and eggs; beat on low speed for 30 seconds. Beat on medium for 2 minutes. , Pour batter into a greased and floured 13x9-in. baking pan. Bake at 350° for 30-35 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean. Cool completely., Place cherries in a food processor; cover and process until coarsely chopped. Transfer to a small bowl; stir in the brandy, preserves and remaining coffee., Crumble cake into a large bowl. Add frosting and cherry mixture; beat well. Shape into 1-in. balls., In a microwave, melt candy coating and shortening; stir until smooth. Dip balls in chocolate mixture; allow excess to drip off. Place on waxed paper; let stand until set. Store in an airtight container overnight before serving.

1-1/4 cups plus 3 tablespoons strong brewed coffee, divided

1/3 cup brandy
1/4 cup cherry preserves
1 cup canned chocolate frosting
4 pounds milk chocolate candy coating, chopped
2 tablespoons shortening

I used to love to get cherry cordials in my stocking. As a tribute to that memory, Cherry Cordial Cupcakes combines two of my favorite ingredients, cherries and chocolate to deliver a decadent dessert!

Steps:

  • 1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. In a large mixing bowl combine cake mix, eggs, condensed milk, vanilla, cherry filling, softened cream cheese and mix with a mixer until smooth. Fold in chocolate chips.Put a cupcake foil in each slot of cupcake pan and fill 3/4 full with batter. Bake according to cake mix directions, usually 18-22 minutes. Allow cupcakes to cool completely and frost. Top with a fresh cherry if desired.

1 box devils food cake mix, moist variety
12 oz cream cheese
14 oz can of sweetened condensed milk
2 eggs
2 tsp vanilla extract
1 can(s) cherry pie filling
10 oz dark chocolate chips
22 fresh cherries for garnish
2 can(s) easy frost no fuss frosting

Steps:

  • 1. Preheat oven to 350. Beat eggs on high speed until foamy. Blend water and oil into eggs. Slowly add cake mix and jello, beating constantly. Add cherry juice and beat 2 more minutes.
  • 2. Fold in maraschino cherries.
  • 3. Pour batter into greased and floured bundt pan. Bake appx. 45 minutes or until cake tester comes out clean. When cool, ice with chocolate glaze.
  • 4. For glaze - Combine chocolate and evaporated milk. Cook and stir over low heat until mixture comes to a boil. Lower heat and gently cook for another 3 to 5 minutes, stirring constantly, until thickened. Cool, stirring occasionally, before icing cake.

1-3 oz. pkg cherry jello
3/4 c reserved maraschino cherry juice
1-16 oz. jar(s) maraschino cherries, drained and coarsely chopped (reserve juice)

6 oz. semi-sweet chocolate
2/3 c evaporated milk

Steps:

  • In small bowl, beat cream cheese, 1 egg and sugar until smooth.
  • Stir in 1/3 cup cherry fruit filling, liqueur and chocolate chips; chill.
  • In large mixing bowl, combine cake mix, 2 eggs, oil, water and 1 cup cherry fruit filling.
  • Using electric mixer; blend on low speed for 30 seconds until moistened.
  • Beat at medium speed for 2 minutes.
  • Fill paper-lined muffin cups 1/3 full.
  • Top each with 1 tablespoons of cream cheese mixture.
  • Spoon remaining batter over cream cheese mixture, filling muffin cups 2/3 full.
  • Bake in preheated 350°F oven for 30 minutes or until toothpick comes out clean.
  • Cool and dust with confectioners' sugar.

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees Grease and flour 2 9 inch cake pans (I used 1 silicone rose shaped pan) Stir together cake mix and cocoa. Make a well in the center and pour in water, mayonnaise and eggs. Beat on low speed until blended. Scrape bowl, and beat 2 minutes on medium speed. Stir in cherries. Pour batter into prepared pan. Bake 35-45 minutes. (approx 75 minutes in rose pan) until knife inserted in center comes out clear. Pour Amaretto all over cake and leave soaking in pan for 24 hours. Remove and dust with 10x sugar. Notes: Don't know what would happen with less cocoa, maybe need less mayonnaise? May use cherry juice in place of water next time.

  • Preheat oven to 350°. In a large bowl, cream butter, sugar and brown sugar until light and fluffy. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition. Beat in vanilla. Combine flour, cocoa, baking soda, baking powder and salt; add to creamed mixture alternately with buttermilk, beating well after each addition., Transfer to two greased and floured 9-in. round baking pans. Bake 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in center comes out clean. Cool 10 minutes before removing from pans to wire racks to cool completely., In a large bowl, beat the cream cheese, butter and extract until smooth. Taken from the back of a package of Hershey's Cherry Cordial Kisses. The title of the recipe is misleading, as it is not, in fact, a cheesecake. The cake is chocolate. There are a lot of ingredients, but it looks more complicated than it really is. I've made it several times, every time without a hitch. I was so impressed with how it turned out it's the background picture on my cell phone, and it definitely tastes as good as it looks!

Hershey's Cherry Cordial Creme Cheesecake image

Steps:

  • Heat oven to 350.
  • Line 9-inch round cake pan with foil, extending foil beyond the sides. Grease foil.
  • Stir together melted butter, granulated sugar, and vanilla in a large bowl. Add eggs. Beat well using spoon. Stir together flour, cocoa, baking powder, and salt. Gradually add to egg mixture, beating with a spoon until well blended. Spread batter in prepared pan.
  • Bake 25 minutes or until cake is set. (Cake is fudgy and will not test done.) Remove from oven. Cool completely in pan on wire rack.
  • Beat cream cheese and powdered sugar in medium bowl until well blended. Beat whipping cream until stiff. Gradually fold into cream cheese mixture, blending well. Spread over brownie layer. Cover. Refrigerate until serving time. Use foil to lift out of pan; remove foil.
  • Just before serving, put cherry pie filling in 5-inch wide heart shape in center of dessert. (I went to Wal-Mart and found a set of heart-shaped cookie cutters to do this step.) Place kisses around edge. Cut into wedges; serve with remaining pie filling. Cover; refrigerate leftover dessert.
