DADDY'S MOLDED SALAD
Molded salad was my Dad's favorite but over the years I have forgotten this salad's name. Whatever it's name, everyone who tries it loves it!

Steps:
- Grease or butter one 2 quart gelatin mold pan.
- In a small saucepan, bring 1 cup of water to a boil; add gelatin and mix until dissolved. Remove from heat and let cool to room temperature. Stir in mayonnaise, cottage cheese, pineapples, walnuts and marshmallows.
- Pour into molded pan and chill until firm. Remove onto serving dish and garnish with halved cherries.

My father always liked this salad, so I shared this recipe with my mom. When she first made it for Dad, he enjoyed it so much he told here to be sure to share the recipe with me. - Combine the first eight ingredients in a blender; cover and process until blended. Arrange greens, onion, eggs and bacon on salad plates; drizzle with desired amount of dressing. Serve immediately.

MOLDED VEGETABLE SALAD
I FOUND this recipe years ago in an old cookbook. By using different colored gelatins, it blends in well with special holiday dinners. Of course, I use lime for our St. Patrick's Day celebration. - In a bowl, dissolve gelatin and salt if desired in boiling water. Add the cold water and vinegar. Chill until partially set. Fold in remaining ingredients. Pour into a 4-cup mold that has been lightly coated with cooking spray. Chill until firm. Unmold onto a serving platter.
