TROPICAL FRUIT PUNCH

Kathy Crawford of Franklin, Wisconsin sends this easy tropical cooler. It features a delicious and sparkly balance of pineapple and cranberry that's great with or without the rum.

Steps:

  • In a pitcher, combine the juices. Stir in soda and rum if desired. Serve immediately over ice.

2 cups unsweetened pineapple juice, chilled
2 cups cranberry-raspberry juice, chilled
1 teaspoon lime juice
2 cups lemon-lime soda, chilled
1/4 cup rum, optional

A different twist to a standard punch. Brewed tea is mixed with orange juice, pineapple juice, lemonade and ginger ale.

Steps:

  • In a pitcher, combine sugar and tea. Stir until sugar is dissolved. Stir in orange juice, pineapple juice and lemonade. Chill in refrigerator for 4 hours.
  • Just before serving, pour chilled juice mixture into a punch bowl and stir in ginger ale.

Our new member,Ed asked me to post a few recipes,this is one of them. Ed says you can add sugar to taste but he finds the pineapple sweetens it enough,he says this is his wife's favorite drink on a hot day.

Ed's Tropical Fruit Punch Iced Tea image

Steps:

  • 1. Bring water to a boil. Once boiled, remove water from heat source and steep for 5 minutes; set aside to cool completely. Place ice cubes in glass. Pour in pineapple juice half way up glass. Add in 1-2 teaspoons of grenadine. Slowly pour tea on top until remaining portion of glass is filled. Stir upon consumption. Orange slice in glass to garnish.
