The best sugar cookies ever! My grandmother made these every Christmas and anytime we went to visit her.

Steps:
- Cream sugar and butter, add egg.
- Blend dry ingredients and add to sugar mixture.
- Form two balls and refridgerate atleast 1 hour.
- Roll out on floured wax paper and cut with cookie cutter.
- Bake at 375 for 7 minutes.

- Use German/Amish-style egg noodles for best results.
- Boil chicken until the meat falls off the bone.
- Debone and cut it up into tiny pieces.
- Put mean back into water, boiling, and add the egg noodles.
- Add salt and pepper to taste.
- Boil until noodles grown in size and are soft, and all water is absorbed or boiled off.

HUNGARIAN SZEKELY GOULASH
Goulash in the style of southern Hungary. Serve with buttered noodles, dumplings, or spaetzle if you like. This is one dish that shines as a leftover, since it gets better the longer it sits.

Steps:
- Sear the meats, onions, bell pepper, and garlic in a large deep pan.
- Season with salt and pepper. Add caraway seeds.
- Stir in rinsed and drained kraut.
- Add beef broth.
- Reduce heat, cover and simmer for 2 hours, stirring occasionally. Add water if you need to.
- 20 minutes before goulash is done, stir in sour cream and paprika. Do not allow the goulash to boil at this point.
GRANDMA'S DUMPLINGS

Steps:
- Start a large pot of boiling water.
- Beat eat whites.
- Mix in cottage cheese.
- Add flour until the mixture turns to a doughy consistency.
- Dice onion.
- Put butter in frying pan and brown the onions and add garlic minced.
- Use a large cutting board for this process.
- Dust the cutting board with flour (will have to multiple times through the process).
- Cover your hands in flour.
- Grab hand fulls of dough.
- Roll the dough until it is about 1in thick.
- Cut about 1/4in pieces of dough.
- Roll them slightly and place them on a large dish.
- Drop the pieces in boiling water for about 12 minutes. (this will be done in two batches).
- Strain and rinse dumplings with cold water.
- Mix in the onion/butter mix.
- Bacon is also good added to the dumplings!
