GREEN BEANS WITH MAGIC SAUCE
Steps:
- Add olive oil to a large saucepan over medium heat. Add green beans and saute, until just tender, about 3 minutes. Season lightly with salt to taste and remove from heat.
- Add soy sauce, tahini, honey, sesame oil, red pepper and garlic to a small bowl and mix until thoroughly combined. Drizzle mixture over beans and lightly toss to combine. Plate and serve.

- Whisk together honey, rice vinegar, sesame oil, red pepper flakes, salt and pepper, to taste, in a small bowl; set aside. Heat the oil in a wok or large skillet on high heat. Add the green beans and cook, stirring 2 to 3 minutes until dark green and caramelized. Add the garlic and ginger, stirring constantly for 2 minutes longer. Add the sauce, stir to incorporate and heat another minute. Transfer to a serving dish and serve.

- Reduce heat.
- Cover and simmer for 6-8 minutes or until crisp tender.
- Sauté onions in butter, add mushrooms and green pepper; sauté until tender.
- In a large bowl, combine the mayonnaise, sour cream and salt; stir in the beans, mushroom mixture and cracker crumbs.
- Gradually stir in eggs.
- Pour into a greased deep-dish 9-inch pie plate.
- Sprinkle with tomato and cheese.
- Bake at 350°F for 25-30 minutes or until a knife, inserted in the center comes out clean.
- Yield-6 servings.

Every time my family and I go to a Chinese buffet we make a bee line for the green beans! This is a simple and tasty re-creation of that much loved side dish, goes well with any Asian meal. Make sure to slice the garlic, don't use a garlic press. Oyster sauce can be found in the Asian section of your grocery store, at an Asian grocery store, and online.

My dad came up with this in his bachelor days using a basic white sauce recipe. I love it because it is so easy,quick, and pantry friendly. To make more simply use 2 cans and 2 tbsp of cornstarch.
