Lemon-Butter Brussels Sprouts image

Steps:

  • Cut brussels sprouts in half. In a large skillet, heat oil over medium heat. Add Brussels sprouts and garlic; cook and stir 5 minutes or until sprouts begin to brown. , Add wine, stirring to loosen browned bits from pan. Stir in broth, lemon juice, thyme, salt and pepper. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat; simmer, covered, 8-10 minutes or until sprouts are tender., Stir in butter and lemon zest until butter is melted. If desired, sprinkle with parsley.

Caramelized Brussels Sprouts with Lemon image

Steps:

  • In a skillet, combine sprouts and 1/2 cup water; season with salt and pepper. Bring to a simmer over medium heat. Cover; cook, stirring occasionally, until most of the water has evaporated and sprouts are crisp-tender, 5 to 8 minutes (add 1/4 cup more water if skillet becomes dry before sprouts are done).
  • Increase heat to medium-high; add oil to skillet. Continue to cook, uncovered, without stirring, until sprouts are golden brown on underside, 5 to 7 minutes. Remove from heat. Stir in lemon juice; season with salt and pepper. Serve with lemon wedges.

Glazed Brussels Sprouts With Lemon and Pepper image

Steps:

  • Cut the sprouts in half through their base, keeping the leaves intact. Bring a pot of water to a boil and add 1 teaspoon of the salt. Boil the sprouts until tender but not mushy, about 5 minutes. Drain and rinse the sprouts under cold water to stop the cooking and set their color.
  • When ready to serve, heat the Brussels sprouts in medium pan with the butter, lemon juice, water, sugar, remaining salt, and the pepper. Cook for 3 to 4 minutes, turning gently, until the sprouts are lightly glazed and heated through. Serve immediately.

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 425 degrees F (220 degrees C). Lightly grease a baking sheet.
  • Combine Brussels sprouts and onion together in a bowl; add 3 tablespoons olive oil, salt, and pepper and gently toss to coat. Spread sprouts mixture onto the prepared baking sheet.
  • Bake in the preheated oven until sprouts and onion are tender and caramelized, 25 to 30 minutes.
  • Heat remaining 2 tablespoons olive oil in a small skillet over medium-high heat; saute shallot until tender, about 5 minutes. Add balsamic vinegar and cook until glaze is slightly reduced, about 5 minutes. Stir rosemary into glaze and pour over sprouts mixture.
