This is my favorite creation that combines Asian flavors with this wonderful veggie.

Steps:
- Bring a large pot of lightly salted water to a boil. Add the Chinese broccoli and cook uncovered until just tender, about 4 minutes. Drain and set aside.
- Meanwhile, whisk the sugar, cornstarch, soy sauce, vinegar, sesame oil, hoisin sauce, ginger, and garlic together in a small saucepan over medium heat until thickened and no longer cloudy, 5 to 7 minutes. Toss the broccoli in the sauce and serve.

- Add garlic; saute 1 minute.
- Rinse broccoli under cold water.
- Do not pat dry.
- Add broccoli to skillet; saute over high heat 5 minutes, stirring until limp.
- Add soy sauce.
- Reduce heat to low, and cook 5 minutes or until tender.
- Season with pepper.

- Pour about 1 inch of water into a saucepan and bring to a boil. Place Chinese broccoli in the saucepan and cover with the lid. Cook until stems are tender, 2 to 5 minutes. Use tongs to transfer to a plate.
- Mix oyster sauce, brown sugar, and sesame oil together in a bowl. Drizzle sauce over the cooked Chinese broccoli.

- Cut the broccoli into 1 1/2-inch florets and reserve the stalks. Peel the stalks and cut them into 1/4-inch-thick slices. In a large pot of salted water, cook the broccoli until crisp-tender. Drain and refresh the broccoli under cold running water.
- When ready to serve, heat the oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the garlic and saute until golden, about 3 minutes. Add the chili flakes and saute for 30 seconds more. Add the broccoli and saute over high heat, tossing until heated through, about 2 to 3 minutes. Season with salt. Serve immediately.

- Cook Broccolini in a 6- to 8-quart pot of boiling salted water until stems are crisp-tender, about 5 minutes, then drain in a colander.
- Heat 2 tablespoons oil in a 12-inch heavy skillet over moderately high heat until hot but not smoking, then sauté half of garlic, stirring, until pale golden, about 30 seconds. Add half of Broccolini, 1/4 teaspoon salt, and 1/8 teaspoon pepper and cook, stirring, until heated through, about 2 minutes. Transfer to a serving dish and repeat with remaining ingredients.
CHINESE TAKEOUT-STYLE TOFU AND BROCCOLI RECIPE BY TASTY

- Wrap the tofu in 2 layers of paper towels and place on a plate. Put another plate on top of the tofu to weigh it down and microwave for 2-3 minutes, or until drained.
- After microwaving, carefully unwrap the tofu and slice into ½-1 inch cubes. Pat each cube dry.
- In a large nonstick skillet, heat the vegetable oil and 1 teaspoon of sesame oil over medium-high heat. Once the oil is hot, add the tofu and cook on all sides until golden brown, 2-4 minutes per side, then remove from the pan and set aside.
- Add broccoli to the hot pan with the vegetable broth. Cover and reduce the heat to medium-low. Steam for 5 minutes.
- Remove the lid and increase the heat to medium-high.
- Add the garlic, ginger, and remaining ½ teaspoon of sesame oil. Stir until softened.
- Add the soy sauce, agave, rice vinegar, and cornstarch slurry. Stir until thickened to your desired consistency. Add the sesame seeds and stir to incorporate.
- Return the tofu to the pan and toss to coat in the sauce.
- Serve over white rice and garnish with scallions and sesame seeds.

- Remove and discard broccoli leaves and tough ends of stalks. Wash broccoli thoroughly, and cut off flowerets; set aside. Cut stalks into 1/2-inch pieces; set aside.
- In a small bowl, combine cornstarch, sugar, and salt. Add chicken broth and soy sauce, stirring until smooth; set aside.
- In a wok or large skillet, sautè garlic in hot oil over medium-high heat until lightly browned.
- Add broccoli flowerets and stems; cook for 2 minutes, stirring constantly. Cover and cook an additional 2 minutes.
- Add broth mixture; cook, stirring constantly, 2 minutes or until sauce thickens.

- Peel stalks from broccoli; slice 1/4 inch thick. Cut florets into bite-size pieces.
- In a large skillet, boil 1/2 cup water. Add bok choy stalks and broccoli; cover. Simmer over medium-low until broccoli is bright green, 5 to 7 minutes. Uncover; cook on high until water evaporates, 2 to 4 minutes.
- Add bok choy leaves, oil, and garlic. Cook, tossing often, until garlic is fragrant, 2 minutes.
