Steps:
- Put the peanuts in the bottom of a 4-quart slow cooker. Layer the chocolate over the peanuts, beginning with the sweet chocolate, followed by the chocolate chips and then the almond bark. Set the temperature on low and cook for 3 hours. Do not stir the mixture. After 3 hours, stir the mixture with a wooden spoon until smooth. Drop the candy into cupcake pan liners using about 2 tablespoons per liner. Allow the candy to cool completely before removing the cupcake liners.
HOLIDAY CROCK POT CANDY
This recipe was given in one of my recipe swaps and I've been making a batch every Christmas season. Makes a lot! Enough for family and 1 or 2 gift trays.

Steps:
- I whirl my peanuts in the food processor just to grind them a bit but if you prefer just go ahead and use them as is.
- Pour peanuts into a large crock-pot; add chips and vanilla or almond bark. Cover and turn setting on low. Now get busy with something else for an hour or so. When you come back, stir mixture with a large spoon making sure all the peanuts are well coated.
- Using whatever size spoon is appropriate for you, (I use a small cooking scoop and it just fills the mini muffin cake liners) spoon out on a cookie sheet and let harden.
- Keep crock-pot on, no big rush, this is a generous recipe and you will have plenty. When sufficiently hard place in festive containers.
- Don't expect it to last very long because each piece is filled with a wonderful taste of chocolate and is chock full of peanuts.

CROCK POT CANDY (MR. BUD'S CANDY)
I saw this on Just A Pinch Recipe Club, putting here for safe-keeping. It sounds like it would be good for Christmas time or for fund-raising events. Here is a note that was in the directions: If your crockpot appliance is below 275 watts, you should not have any problem with the candy burning if you follow the ingredients and the directions, however, all crockpots are different, so please pay attention to your cooking process. Look on the bottom of your appliance to see the wattage. The other note was too long to include here, so it's at the bottom of the recipe.

Steps:
- Put ingredients into a 4 or 5-quart crockpot in EXACT order as listed. Cover and cook on LOWEST setting [on your appliance] for 3 hours.
- DO NOT remove lid!
- Turn off and allow to cool slightly. Mixture will not be melted but will be soft.
- Mix thoroughly and drop by teaspoon size cookie dropper or a teaspoon onto wax paper. Let cool thoroughly.
- NOTE: This candy is made best by following the recipe to the letter. Make other variations and changes at your own risk, [for example, using pecans or almonds in place of peanuts; white chocolate chips instead of almond bark, etc.] as this is the voice of experience speaking. Please take into consideration that it may alter the quality of the finished product.
- **NOTE: There seems to be discrepancies in the terms crockpot and slow cooker. This recipe is for a crockpot which, when on low, will only melt the ingredients. A slow cooker will get hotter and start to cook the ingredients, thus resulting in an inferior product. Please be aware of what kind of appliance you have. It seems the older "crockpot" works best. There have been some who have burned their ingredients because their appliance is too hot. The makers and manufacturers of these appliances seem to interchange the description of their appliances calling slow cookers crockpots. It seems that Rival owns the name crockpot, therefore, others can't use the name crockpot, they are slow cookers. It's very confusing, but slow cookers, indeed, cook hotter, which could result in burning of this recipe.

CROCK POT CHOCOLATE CANDY
this is the best recipe i have found for chocolate covered peanuts. you can use other nuts in place of peanuts, or with them. i made this for my friends and family for the holiday and everyone wanted the recipe. it is so easy to make. REMEMBER , it does have to be made in a large crock pot.

MS. MARSHA'S CROCK POT CANDY
This recipe came from a very sweet woman I know. My family absolutely loves these little candies and they could hardly be easier. The hardest part is spooning the candy on to the paper to cool, that and not eating them all be for they set. Please note only use DRY utensils when making chocolates, water can ruin your candies. You may need to put the candy in to the fridge for a little while to get it to set if it is very warm in your house the day that you make them. For example, last time I made them I was also baking bread that day, the kitchen was too warm for the candies so I had to very carefully cut my parchment to manageable sizes so that my candy could be placed in the fridge. If it is more than 72 in your kitchen you may want to plan on chilling them in the fridge and that means making sure you can safetly make it from your crock pot to your fridge or a really cool place in your house without dropping all your goodies on the floor. I use what I consider to be an average sized family crockpot for my candy I believe it holds about 3 quarts. I have successfully halved the recipe and used a smaller crock pot, the candy will only take around 1 hour and 45 minutes for the half batch to melt.

Steps:
- Chop German chocolate and vanilla bark in to small pieces so that they will melt more quickly.
- Layer ingredients in crock pot as listed above.
- Cook on low for 2 hours and 15 minutes.
- DO NOT OPEN THE LID! Candy may not appear to be melting, but when you stir it at the end of the 2 hours and 15 minutes it will be.
- Be sure to use a VERY DRY spoon to vigorously stir the candy when the time is up. Even a drop of water can ruin the batch.
- Spoon combined candy on to wax or parchment paper with a teaspoon to cool.
- Once set put finished candies in to airtight containers for storage, if they last that long.
- Makes approximately 200 pieces.

- ***NOTE I've been asked to add this note. Look on the bottom of your appliance to see the wattage. The new crockpots get hotter than the older crockpots and the slow cookers get even hotter.
- DISCLAIMER: I have not made 1/2 a recipe, used peanut butter chips, mint chips, almonds, pecans, coconut or any other ingredients other than what the recipe calls for,(except for caramel and it was a disaster and I threw it away), I have not made it in the microwave nor have I made it on top of the stove, as this is a crockpot recipe, therefore, if you want to use any other ingredients or make it any other way, please do so, but it may not have the same consistency, texture, taste, nor gloss that this one has and the end results may not be the quality you are hoping for.
